Here at Novels, News, and Notes from your Northwest Neighbors our goal is to feature Northwest Authors and their books. Here is some information about our blog.
The things you will see on our Blog are:
Event Recap's - We will be attending as many Author Events as possible and sharing with you what the authors talked about, their question and answer period as well as photo's of the events. This way if you can't make it, we have you covered. Really, the only thing you will have to do is order their book!
Featured Author - This will be a weeklong set of posts including reviews of the Author's book, a giveaway, an interview and even information on their upcoming release(s). The last day of the week will usually be a Tuesday when the Author has a book releasing. This will include their new book release or when they have a book that is releasing in paperback.
Giveaways - Periodically we will have a giveaway for fun or to correspond with a new release. We use Rafflecopter which does not require a Facebook account so you can use your email and name or Facebook if you prefer.
Monthly Meet Up's - One of our goals is to get together on a monthly basis to meet with book lovers. We will not be reading the same book, but would love to hear about what each person is reading. This is a great way to hear about an author you aren't familiar with. Plus it's fun to meet other book lovers! Currently our events will be located in and around Portland/Vancouver. Feel free to fill out our Monthly Meet Up form and we will assist in helping those from other areas meet up as well.
Northwest Events - Living in the NW with so many amazing authors means we are blessed to see many of them at local events as well as authors who travel through our area at multiple stops including Portland and Seattle. Check this page for updates to find out when tours and events will be nearby.
Reviews - With a list of over 45 NW authors we have a TON of amazing young adult books to read and share with you. We are lucky that many of these authors have signed copies of their books at local bookstores in Oregon and Washington if you enjoy having signed books.
Vlog's - Instead of reading all the interviews we feature, we will be asking authors to video record themselves answering our questions. It's always fun to see and hear authors talking and this is a fun way to show off our awesome authors.
Waiting on Wednesday was started and is hosted at Breaking the Spine by Jill. "Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating. On here we will be posting books by Northwest Authors.
Parajunkee & Alison can read. This is a fun Hop where Candace and I will answer a question and then you leave your comment on what your answer is and tell us what you think of our answers! You can also join the hop if you have a book blog.
