2nd- Lemony Snicket and Lisa Brown with their new book "Goldfish Ghost" will be at University Temple United Methodist Church The Sanctuary, 1415 NE 43rd Street at 7 p.m.  Tickets are available here.


2nd– Sarah J. Maas with her new book "A Court of Wings & Ruin" will be in conversation with Sara Gundell at Powell’s Cedar Hills Crossing at 6 p.m.

April


2nd- 25th Anniversary Party at A Book For All Seasons.  They will be hosting: J.A. Dance, Nina Laden, and Dan Gemeinhart from 1 to 3 p.m.  Come to Leavenworth for a fun day!

5th- Paige McKenzie with her new book "The Sacrifice of Sunshine Girl" will be at Powell's Books at Cedar Hills at 7 p.m.


6th- Laini Taylor with her new book "Strange the Dreamer" will be in conversation with Sara Gundell or Novel Novice at Powell's Books at Cedar Hills at 7 p.m.


7th- Andrew McCarthy at Powell's Cedar Hills with his new book "Just Fly Away"

8th- Unconventional Beauties: A reading with Brie Spangler, Kris Dinnison, and Whitney Gardner will be held at Auntie's Bookstore at 7 p.m.


13th- Kelly Barnhill, author of "The Girl Who Drank the Moon" and Karen Rivers, author of "Love, Ish" will be at University Book Store, U District at 7 p.m.


13th- American Indian Cultural Festival at Klindt's Booksellers at 7 p.m.  The American Indian Cultural Festival is this April and Klindt's Booksellers is excited to be a part of the festivities. Join us on April 13 at 7pm for an extraordinary book signing event featuring four amazing authors:


Sherman Alexie*- Thunder Boy Jr.
Elizabeth Woody - Luminaries of the Humble
Rosanne Parry - Written in Stone
Craig Lesley - Winterkill


*Due to expected demand and limited time, book reservations are required for Sherman Alexie's autograph line. Book reservations are recommended for all featured authors. Call or stop by to reserve your books.

April 9, 2017 at 6:30pm - Klindt's Community Book Club will host a book discussion with Rosanne Parry featuring her title Written in Stone.
April 12, 2017 at 10:30am - The Dalles Public Library Family Story Time will feature Thunder Boy Jr. by Sherman Alexi.
April 13, 2017 at 1:30pm - Elizabeth Woody poetry reading will take place at The Dalles Public Library.
April 13, 2017 at 1:30pm - Craig Lesley reading will take place at the CGCC Library.

20th- Amber Keyser with her new book "Pointe, Claw" and Ruth Tenzer Feldman with her new book "Seven Stitches" will be celebrating their new books together at Annie Bloom's Books at 7 p.m.


20th- Brandon Mull with his new book "Dragonwatch: A Fablehaven Adventure" will be at University Book Store, Mill Creek at 4:30 p.m.




March


16th- Penguin Teen on Tour with authors: Renée Ahdieh, Natalie C. Anderson, Alwyn Hamilton, and Lesley Livingston will be at University Book Store, U District at 7 p.m. with their new books.

20th- Marni Bates with her new book "Dial Em for Murder" will be at Powell's Books at Cedar Hills at 7 p.m.  


24th- Lish McBride with her new book "Pyromantic", the 2nd book in the Firebug duology will be celebrating her book launch at Third Place Books, Lake Forest Park at 6:30 p.m.


28th- Laini Taylor and Marissa Meyer will be in conversation at Third Place Books, Lake Forest Park to celebrate Laini's new book "Strange the Dreamer" at 7 p.m.

  2. Oregon Association of School Libraries presents KADIR NELSON

    The public is invited to join OASL for the work and words of Kadir Nelson, most recently author-illustrator of the children's biography Nelson Mandela, as well as Heart and Soul: The Story of America and African Americans, and the award-winning We Are the Ship: The Story of Negro League Baseball. In addition, his gorgeous oil paintings have illuminated other authors' work, including Martin Luther King, Jr.'s illustrated I Have A Dream, Matt de la Peña'sA Nation's Hope: The Story of Boxing Legend Joe Louis, Carol Boston Weatherford's Moses and Ellen Levine's Henry's Freedom Box for which he won a Caldecott Honor Medal. Nelson has garnered both the Coretta Scott King Illustrator and Author awards, a Sibert medal, the NAACP Image Award, the CASEY award for best baseball book, as well as having his fine art collected by major public and private institutions worldwide.
